A stalled vehicle in the roadway appears to have caused a seven-car pileup in southwest Oklahoma City this morning near the intersection of State Highway 152 and SW 59.

This car accident reinforces the need for proper safety precautions a motorist should take when confronted with a stalled or broken down automobile on the roadway. If you break down on the highway, pull your car as far off the road as possible and then make sure you and your passengers get as far off the road as possible even if it means that you have to stand outside the car. Also make sure, regardless of the time of day or night to have your hazard lights turned on.
