Some common sense is coming out of Oklahoma’s capitol today as Governor Henry issued an executive order banning texting while driving by all state employees while they are on official state business.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, distractions caused by text messaging contribute to hundreds of injury accidents each year and also have been blamed for fatal crashes.
We applaud Governor Henry for this safety choice and for being stalwart in the battle against special interests who have attacked Oklahoma’s civil justice system throughout the years.
