Boston.com is reporting that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was involved a two-car crash this morning in Boston’s Back Bay section. According to the Patriots facebook site, “Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today,” the team said in a posting on its Facebook site.
Boston.com quotes a witness as saying that Brady was traveling on Gloucester Street and had a green light at Commonwealth when the minivan, traveling on Commonwealth, went through a red light and the two vehicles collided.
Let’s forget for a moment that Tom Brady is on my fantasy football team and an injury at this point would have devastated my season and focus on the fact that no one is immune from being in a car accident. Many drivers still drive as if they are invincible from being in a car accident. However, with a superstar like Tom Brady being involved in an car accident on the way to work it should serve as a grim reminder that no one is impervious to being hit by a negligent driver.
