Updated Information Regarding Trust Account for 2 Year-Old Drunk Driving Victim

Comments Off

As you know, we have been following the tragic story of a drunk driving collision where a 5 year old was murdered by a drunk driver. As we discussed in a later blog, his two year old sister was seriously injured and faces a long and difficult recovery.

Yesterday we found out via a local news story that a fund had been set up at Midfirst bank to help the family with the daunting prospect of medical bills and ensure that little Avery receives the best care available. At the time I wrote the blog, I had little information about the trust account or Avery’s recovery.

Last night I received an email from an injury board reader giving me further information to pass along to our readers. Instead of putting my take on the situation I thought I would just quote the email:

It states

"We finalized the trust for Adam and Avery. If you feel compelled to make a donation, you can make checks payable to Avery Stutts, Chelsea Stutts, or Adam & Avery Stutts Memorial Support Trust. You can make contributions at any Midfirst Bank location. If you have any questions, you can call 1-888-MIDFIRST."

I encourage everyone to call and make a donation, big or small. As a parent of three beautiful girls, I cannot fathom the difficult time the family is enduring and their grief does not need to be compounded over financial concerns and concerns about how they will ensure their daughter receives the best medical care available. Oklahomans have long been known for their generosity in times of catastrophe. This is one of those times we need to step forward and help one of our own who has suffered so needlessly because someone decided to have too much to drink.
