According to koco.com three Ohio women and one from Michigan have been killed in a head-on collision on State Highway 11 in northern Oklahoma near the town of Barnsdall.

According to reports, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the deceased as 69-year-old Christine Fulghum, 85-year-old Martha Jacobs and Lavonne Gantt all of Toledo, Ohio, and 84-year-old Norma Otterstetter of Southgate, Mich.

This tragic collision occurred when the driver of a pickup truck fell asleep at the wheel and swerved over into a van containing the deceased. The van was struck head-on then struck from behind by another vehicle.

This tragic collision is a grim reminder of the dangers of fatigued and/or drousy driving. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.
